...and I have a lot to say about the Academy and independent documentaries. I will, however, keep my mouth (mostly) shut until we see exactly what the new rules are. There's a lot broken about the way documentary films are nominated for Oscars, and while what I've seen so far tells me it's not going to be getting much better for those who can't afford giant ads in Variety, benefit of the doubt shall prevail here.
Let's be patient and see what shakes.
